Apple Music increases subscription prices, cites “rising licensing costs”

Apple Music has hiked up its monthly subscription fee.

Following the price increase, the individual plan in the UK is now £11.99, rising from £10.99, while the family plan is now £19.99, formerly £16.99. In Europe, the individual plan has gone up to €11.99 from €10.99, the Family plan to €19.99 from €16.99, and the student plan to €6.99.

In the US, the individual plan is going up from $10.99 to $11.99, the family plan from $16.99 to $19.99 and the student plan from $5.99 to $6.99 monthly. The price increases will come into immediate effect.
