Talking Heads’ 1984 concert film ‘Stop Making Sense’ has been restored in 4K especially for an upcoming re-release courtesy of independent entertainment company A24.

The updated version of ‘Stop Making Sense’ will be released to select cinemas later this year, while a deluxe vinyl and digital edition of the film’s soundtrack will also be released via the Rhino label on 18th August.

Directed by filmmaker Jonathan Demme, ‘Stop Making Sense’ was captured across three nights at Hollywood’s Pantages Theater in December 1983. The shows came while the band were touring their classic 1982 album ‘Speaking In Tongues’ with other records such as ‘Remain In Light’ and ‘Fear Of Music’ having come out in the years before that.
