Alan Braxe, one third of Stardust, dives into the story behind one of dance music’s most recognisable and celebrated tracks, ‘Music Sounds Better With You’, created by one of the genre’s most mysterious outfits.

Here, 25 years on from its release, Braxe speaks of meeting Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter and how ‘Stardust’ itself was initially an improvised set filler, as well as discovering its famous Chaka Khan sample, and provides insight into its infamous video directed by Michel Gondry.

Earlier this year, Braxe reissued his influential 2005 compilation album, ‘The Upper Cuts’, featuring ‘Music Sounds Better With You’ alongside ‘Intro’, ‘In Love With You’, his remix of Shakedown’s ‘At Night’ and more. Listen to it
