    Guitar designed by Gorillaz to be auctioned for Brian Eno’s climate charity

    A guitar design by Gorillaz’ Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn will be sold at auction later this month. 

    Currently owned by The Cure frontman and Gorillaz collaborator Robert Smith, the Guild S-200 T-Bird guitar will be auctioned off at a fundraiser for Brian Eno’s climate change charity EarthPercent, NME reports. That’ll take place on 20th October at the Bonhams Pop X Culture auction in London, where it’s expected to raise about £5,000 to £7,000. 

    The guitar was first seen on stage played by Robert Smith during Gorillaz’ free concert for NHS workers at the O2 Arena last August.
