    Bristol’s 1020 Radio to shut down this month citing “covid and ongoing rising costs””

    Bristol’s 1020 Radio is to cease broadcasting at the end of May.

    Citing hangovers from the COVID-19 pandemic as well as rising costs associated with the cost of living crisis, the team behind the online radio station said it was a “difficult decision” to finish broadcasting. The station’s last day of broadcasting will be 28th May.

    Writing on Instagram, 1020 Radio said: “As many of you know the last few years have been very difficult for many small businesses, and unfortunately we are another casualty of COVID and ongoing rising costs.
